<-- Puppies always like the grass. Sometimes
they try to hide in it,
And sometimes they just roll around in it 'cuz it feels
good -->
<-- Looks like Brother is whispering something in
Sister's ear.
While Samantha gives the kids some advice about playing
outside. -->
<-- The two littlest kids enjoying their
outing. -->
<-- While their two big brothers do the
same. -->
<-- These two little kids are the most curious and most
adventurous of the bunch.
The three sable kids still curious about that pedestal. -->
<-- Sister is trying to get Daddy's attention for something.
A good picture of big brother. -->
<-- The two little kids again. Brother is
also curious about that pedestal. -->

over. -->

November 13, 2003 --
The kids are 6 weeks old (plus a couple of days). Took them to the
vet today for their shots and such. The lady doctor pronounced them
all to be healthy and beautiful (well, handsome for the boys). These are their weights:
Big Brown Boy (Lance) -- 4 lb Sable Boy
(Bandit) -- 3 1/4 lb.
Black Girl #1 -- 3 1/8 lb Black Girl #2 (Itty
Bitty) -- 2 1/2 lb
Brown Girl -- 3 1/4 lb
Sable Girl -- 2 3/4 lb
Black Boy (Columbus) -- 2 3/4 lb |
<-- The kids looking sad and pititul because I won't
let them outside
Lance decides he's coming out anyway -->
<-- It is always fun when the kids decide they want to play up on the
deck. Also fun to see who is the first to make it. I had
predicted that Lance would be the first.
I was wrong. Bandit has made it almost to the
top. -->
<-- It took him a few tries to get it right, but he
was very determined -->
<-- There is just something special about being up here with
Daddy. -->
<-- Black Sister decides that, if Bandit can do it, she
can too. Dad looks a little surprised.
"Are you proud of me, Daddy?" -->
<-- Lance wasn't far behind, and also wants Daddy to notice his
achievement.
Mom comes along to join in the congratulations.
-->
<-- Bandit seems to be strutting just a little bit -- like he is
proud of his accomplishment.
It doesn't take long for the whole pack to do it, once somebody shows
them how. -->
<-- Going down is always kinda interesting. Sometimes it is
done with grace and style. --> |
<-- And sometimes with enthusiasm and reckless
abandon. -->
<-- Lance is showing how it ought to be done.
As always, Dad is setting a good example for the kids in how to be a
loving husband and parent. -->
<-- Back inside for the evening, a couple of the kids seem to want
Daddy's attention.
As always, the kids love their toys. -->
<-- Dad is trying to take a quiet nap by the fire. Good luck,
Dad.
Brown Sister is telling Daddy a secret. (Puppies have a lot of
secrets for Daddy) -->
<-- Tennis balls are always a favorite with the kids. They're
fuzzy and they roll nicely. --> |
<-- Bandit likes the new little squeaky toy.
While Itty Bitty attacks the octopus. (or, maybe the
octopus is attacking her) -->
<-- The fuzzy pink ball is also a favorite. Brown Sister
attacks it,
Columbus decides to sneak up on it. -->
(A side note: I started calling the black boy "Columbus"
because he was always exploring, while the other kids were sleeping.)
<-- Mom is sorta supervising the kids' play,
But, then decides to join the fun. -->
<-- Sister is trying to persuade Lance to share his chair.
And, of course, being a pushover like most big brothers,
he lets her. -->
